Hurricane Harvey
We trust you and your family are safe after our recent storm.
If you have insurance coverage for your damage claim, it is important to contact your insurance company first, get a claim number and have your company assign an Insurance Adjuster to your claim. It is the responsibility of your Insurance Adjuster to give you a written insurance report estimate. When you get that insurance report estimate from your Insurance Adjuster please contact me. We will review your written insurance report estimate to make sure it will be adequate to cover your damage and everything you need to have the work performed up to all local codes and engineering requirements.
In regard to pricing, Nueces Construction uses the same pricing software (Xactimate) as the insurance company.
Nueces Construction will honor the insurance report estimate from your Insurance Adjuster.
If the insurance report estimate missed something, Nueces Construction will address it with the insurance adjuster. Nueces Construction has a great deal of experience in dealing with insurance claims and can help you navigate this process.
All our work is performed according to code and we ensure that if required by the TDI (Texas Department of Insurance), receives all inspections and is certified by a registered engineered to meet the TDI requirements.

IMPACT-RESISTANT HURRICANE WINDOWS

When living in a coastal state such as Texas, protection is crucial when strong storms and high winds hit. That’s why we offer our customers impact-resistant hurricane windows, designed to be strong enough to provide protection during even the worst weather. They are strong and resilient against violent storms because of their laminated double-strength glass, which is able to withstand high winds and flying debris without the aid of plywood or shutters.
Impact-resistant glass is designed to help maintain your home's structural integrity. When strong, hurricane winds enter a home through broken windows or doors, the increased pressure can lift off the roof and push out the structure.
Impact-resistant glass helps prevent forced entry – the interlayer cannot be easily penetrated, even if the glass is shattered.
No storm shutters are needed.
Hurricane windows and doors may add equity to your home and could reduce insurance premiums.

Anatomy of a window

1. Frame provides structure.
2. Cladding protects the exterior of a wood or composite window and is made of vinyl, aluminum, or fiberglass, eliminating painting.
3. Sash is the moving part of the window; it can be tilted in for easy cleaning.
4. Insulated glass Double-glazed windows have a sealed space between two panes of glass filled with air or another gas that insulates better than air. Argon gas is standard on many windows, but the energy savings won’t justify paying extra for it.
5. Low-E coating is transparent and improves the efficiency of the glass by reflecting heat yet letting light in. The coating is applied to the outside of glass in warmer climates to reflect the sun’s heat out; in colder areas, it’s applied to the inside glass to keep heat in.
6. Grilles are decorative and are available in different patterns to match architectural styles.
Love or Hate it, This Product is Here to Stay!
Siding products have come and gone and yet Vinyl Siding still remains the dominant siding product used throughout the US. Bob Vila from This Old House states “….today’s vinyl siding is weather- and insect-proof, fade-resistant, and virtually indestructible under normal circumstances” .Homeowners simply like that fact that they will never have to paint their home exterior again.
Vinyl Siding generally cost less than other siding material. Additionally, what vinyl has over the other siding options is the Insulation R-value qualities it offers which results in energy savings year round. This is yet another plus over all of the other home exterior siding product available on the market today.
Install It and Forget It!
In Texas, vinyl siding is one the most popular choices for remodeling and new construction. It delivers the appearance of wood without the costly time consuming maintenance and painting of other siding options.
This product will not split, peel, rot or ever become dated. Because the color of the siding product is consistent through the entire panel, it never needs to be scraped, stained or time spent with re painting.
Vinyl siding saves all the mess and bother of painting the exterior. Vinyl siding offers value, energy efficiency, and good looks. Plus, vinyl siding is virtually maintenance free – you need to only occasionally wash it down to keep it looking good.
We offer vinyl siding products from Alcoa-Mastic, a leader in the vinyl siding industry.
